the crop foundation's goal
Building a sustainable community of young culinary students.
The CROP Foundation, established in 2014, is devoted to innovative and avid young students who study culinary, food policy, agriculture and closely related fields. Our endeavor is to build a sustainable community of young students that are knowledgeable and confident in their career paths and will be
lifelong learners of excellence in gastronomy. We are dedicated to helping students further their education by offering scholarships and identify internships with local and global chefs, farmers, restaurateurs and other major changemakers, in the culinary community.

The Future
The CROP Foundation has a history of positive and financially stable outcomes for historically low-income individuals with paid internships resulting in long term careers in the culinary field in Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Our next project is Yorkie’s. Yorkie’s Restaurant will utilize local produce and will be primarily run by students with our no-waste model.
